VDM-2 CERAMIC DIAPHRAGM VACUUM TRANSDUCER

Product News - June 24th, 2024

We are excited to introduce a new member of our vacuum transducer family. The VDM-2 Ceramic Diaphragm Vacuum Transducer is designed for vacuum pressure measurement in challenging environments. The VDM-2 is based on an aluminum oxide diaphragm sensor element that offers measurement in the rough vacuum range from 0.1 to 1000 Torr.

The transducer is suitable for a wide selection of applications including PVD coating, furnaces, and general fore-line surveillance. Compared to stainless steel piezo vacuum transducers that typically use oil-filled sensor elements, the ceramic piezo sensor element is clean and dry, eliminating the risk of contaminating the vacuum system.

Capacitance diaphragm gauges are used in many vacuum applications for measurement and control of advanced processes. The VDM-2 transducer is a cost-effective and compact alternative to traditional 1000 Torr/mbar full-scale Capacitance Diaphragm Gauges (CDGs).

The VDM-2 offers different control options including reliable solid state setpoint relays, analog voltage output, and RS-232 or RS-485 digital interfaces.
