Glove Boxes
Whether you have a scientific experiment or a critical manufacturing process vacuum Glove Boxes are an important tool to maintain a controlled and safe environment.
Vacuum gloveboxes are used in many diverse industries and are primarily utilized to create a controlled and safe environment for handling sensitive or reactive materials and chemicals. Vacuum technology is used to evacuate the interior of the glovebox by removing atmospheric air, including oxygen and moisture, and to create an inert atmosphere inside the glovebox by backfilling with inert gases like nitrogen.
Recommended and typical vacuum gauges for Glove Box applications
The VDM-2 product series, with its ceramic diaphragm sensor technology, offers excellent corrosion resistance to many chemicals, and its measuring range of 0.1 to 1333 mbar covers the typical glove box pressure range.
Sens4 also offers measurement solutions that combine the measurement of vacuum with the measurement of pressure relative to ambient pressure. The VDM-3 dual sensor design offers gauge pressure measurement in combination with vacuum measurement, enabling accurate control of gas backfilling and preventing over-pressurization. Setpoints can be programmed to trigger at critical pressure levels for safety interlock functionality.
