S4-Connect Communicator

Sens4 offers hassle-free transducer connectivity solutions to PC systems via USB port. 

The S4-Connect adapter is designed for programming transducers without an RS-232 or RS-485 interface. The S4-Connect communicates over the power line and is intended for configuration and setup of transmitter parameters.

Many industrial analog process transmitters with industry-standard 4-pin M12 connectors offer limited or no individual configuration options. Additionally, accessing user-configurable parameters or calibration adjustments often requires time-consuming disassembly of the product.

S4-Connect™ is a flexible and cost-effective communication protocol developed by Sens4 for programming and configuring digital transmitters and transducers for pressure, and vacuum measurement. This communication interface enables digital communication with analog transmitters that lack dedicated pin-out configurations for standard digital protocols like RS-232, RS-485, or IO-Link.

While digital communication over 4-20 mA current loops is possible using HART interfaces, the cost of HART transmitters and modems remains relatively high.

Configuration of Analog Voltage or Current Output

The S4-Connect™ programming and communication unit provides access to the digital core of the transmitter through PC software via a USB interface. It is compatible with Sens4 transmitters featuring 4-20 mA current output or 0-10 VDC voltage output, offering a user-friendly solution for configuration and communication.
